Let us take a moment to observe the awesomeness of octopus.

My buddy read an article about octopus intelligence. It was feeding time, and the handler dumped some shrimp into an octopus’ tank. Then he went into another room and sat at his desk.

A while later, a shrimp was tossed onto his desk.

The octopus, upon finding one bad shrimp in the lot, had grabbed it, escaped its tank, crossed the hall, and threw the expired shrimp at its caretaker. Not only does this showcase their problem-solving capabilities, but also that it could have escaped at any time. It just broke out this time to chuck an off shrimp in indignation at its handler. That’s not just intelligence, that’s a human-like reaction. Kinda make you wonder exactly how smart these guys can be…

In a lab, the octopus’ treats kept disappearing, so they set up cameras. Apparently at night the octopus would get out of its tank, crawl across dry land to the treat shelf, unscrew the jar, take one treat, reseal the jar, and go back into its tank like nothing happened.

I’ve seen the video, but I can’t find it.

Merrimon Avenue, near UNC Asheville
If you’re going to the North end of the city, Merrimon Avenue is like that clogged artery of middle income families and college student homes/apartments (Beaverdam Road and Charlotte Street are more of the wealthy areas on the North end to me) that you’re going to have mixed feelings about. I don’t have too many complaints about it really, walk wise. It could be worse *uncomfortably eyes Patton Avenue.* Driving wise, it tends to get hairy in places like toward downtown and UNC Asheville at the start or end of a work/school day, but again, it could be worse. *uncomfortably eyes Biltmore Village and Downtown* Anyway, I went for Yolo Frozen Yogurt on a warm evening a while back, and I got some shots of nearby shops, and restaurants before I went inside. I need to recapture everything now that spring has sprung.

That’s where I get my tattoos!
And eat dinner afterwards. :)

WE NEED FEMINISM BECAUSE WHEN LANCE ARMSTRONG GOT CANCER AND LOST A TESTICLE IT WAS ALL ABOUT HIS HEALTH AND HOW INSPIRATIONAL HE WAS BUT WHEN ANGELINA JOLIE GETS A DOUBLE MASTECTOMY TO PREVENT HERSELF FROM GETTING CANCER, IT’S ALL ABOUT HOW SHE WON’T BE A SEX SYMBOL ANYMORE AND HOW MEN ARE OFFENDED CAUSE SHE WON’T BE AN OBJECT FOR THEM

I’m pretty sure I reblog this already but this need to be reblog again
